CANVAS PAINTING
Our canvas painting events are in a paint and sip format that most people will be familiar with. A professional instructor will guide you throughout a 2-hour painting experience with a digestible, easy to follow, beginner-friendly painting process. For private events, you get to customize what you want to paint. You can pick from our seasonal portfolio or you can give us some ideas and we will create something for you! We typically will all paint the same thing, but creative freedom is always encouraged! We love when people switch up colors and details. Our biggest goal is to make the art-making process less intimidating and more accessible, we want you to leave this experience with more painting knowledge. :)
PAINT YOUR PET
Our Paint Your Pet class is a customized painting event that Southern Misfit Studios specializes in. How the class works is you email a photo of your pet to us (manager@southernmisfitstudios.com) upon registering. It will then get hand-sketched on a 16" x 20" canvas for you prior to the event. During the actual event an instructor will guide you on a step-by-step process on how to paint your pet! This class is beginner-friendly but always guarantees a professional outcome. You get to customize your pet portrait with pop-art colors or traditional colors, making your painting unique and customized. This class is the perfect blend of commissioning an artist to paint your pet and you doing it yourself, you get the perks of the pre-sketch and you get the chance to put your artist apron on and make your own creative decisions.
craftING
Commonly known as “craft-ernoons” on our website, our craft events are friendly for all ages and skill levels. Our craft events are a new way to explore different mediums and trending DIYs. We offer a variety of events in this category that include but are not limited to:
Glass Painting (paint on a wine glass/beer pint glass/wine bottle/mug/etc,.) - we use glass enamel paint that can cure in the oven after it’s dried on the glass for 48 hours! Making your design functional.
Candle Painting - we use melted, colorful wax to paint on candle sticks or pillars!
Tote Bag Painting - we use fabric paint to paint on canvas tote bags!
Clay - we use air dry clay to create our crafts!
Beading/Jewelry Making- we use beading and jewelry-making techniques to make necklaces/earrings/bracelets/phone charms/etc,.
We’re constantly adding crafts to our portfolio, if you don’t see one you like, we can create a custom event for you.
