Location: Talk of the Table, Sugar Hill
Event Type: Champagne Cap Up-cycled earrings

Date: January 2nd, 2026

There’s something extra special about taking what’s already been celebrated and giving it a brand‑new life, and that’s exactly what we did at our Champagne Cap Earring Workshop at Talk of the Table.

This class was part of our $26 for 2026 series, and it sold out fast — proof that creativity, sustainability, and a little sparkle go a long way. It was also the perfect way to ease back into the year after New Year’s… low-pressure, hands-on, and celebratory without feeling overwhelming.

A Creative Night with a Sustainable Twist

Guests gathered with drinks in hand and tables full of colorful, up‑cycled champagne caps, turning what would normally be tossed away into wearable art. Each participant designed and assembled their own pair (or two!) of statement earrings, choosing from different shapes, textures, and finishes.

The process was approachable and beginner‑friendly, making it perfect for first‑time makers and seasoned creatives alike.

Why We Love Up‑Cycling Workshops

At Southern Misfit Studios, we love offering classes that feel thoughtful as well as fun. This workshop highlighted the beauty of re‑imagining everyday materials, encouraging creativity while reducing waste. It’s art that feels good to make and wear.

Plus, there’s something magical about leaving with a finished piece you can actually use — especially when it starts conversations like, “Wait… those are made from champagne caps?” 🥂

Community, Conversation & Creativity

The room was filled with laughter, connection, and creative energy. Friends came together and everyone left with new skills and new jewelry. Nights like this remind us why we do what we do: creating spaces where art brings people together.

More to Come ✨

If you missed this one, don’t worry, more up‑cycling workshops and $26 for 2026 classes are on the way. Be sure to follow along and sign up for our newsletter so you don’t miss the next chance to turn everyday objects into something beautiful.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Talk of the Table and helped kick off 2026 with creativity, sustainability, and a little sparkle.
